Objective

To provide assistance to Association Members and their Board of Directors in the management of their communities while preserving property values, and achieving the goals of the community.

Philosophy

To work in tandem with the Board of Directors, members, volunteers and contractors to meet or exceed the goals that the members have for the community. To work towards the goal of creating and maintaining an environment that each member and guest can enjoy and be proud to be a part of.

Education

2000-200 - The Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah Georgia

  • MFA, Computer Art

  • Experience in traditional and digital animation techniques.

 

2000-200 - The Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio, BSID, Major: Interior Space Design

  • Emphasis on methodology of design and problem solving.

1989-1990 - The Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL, Flight Major

  • Completed solo flight before transferring.

Experience

2006 - Present - Jean Bates & Associates, Danville CA, Association Manager

  • Responsible for the oversight of Association operations including:

    • The preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and special notices, conducting general, annual and special Board meetings and CC&R enforcement.

  • Also responsible for the procuring, negotiating, and supervision of monthly maintenance contracts including security, landscape and janitorial as well overseeing the completion of improvements and special projects.

 

2003 - The Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah GA

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant for Digital Matte Painting
     

1995 - 1999 - The Hyatt on Capital Square, Columbus OH, Food & Beverage Manager

  • Operated the largest department with six food and beverage outlets including a sports bar, fine dining restaurant and lounge, outdoor cafe, room service & a morning coffee cart.

  • Responsible for management of seventy employees, running corporate promotions and creating new promotions, employee incentive programs, holiday and special events. Events included holiday brunches serving up to nine hundred guests and VIP gatherings for noted celebrities. Gross annual sales for department ranged from three to six million dollars annually.

 

1992 - 2000 - Active Curriculum, Columbus OH, Office Manager

  • Operated a small business specializing in the training and support for Microsoft end-user products and producing course ware and materials for other training facilities nationwide. Responsible for the development of marketing strategy, sales, design of advertising materials, curriculum, and installation and support of a statewide network for a state level government department
